The Gambia Youth Chamber of Commerce through the support of UNDP and Ministry Of Trade Entrepreneurship & Private sector. Development project (EPSD) Organised a week long Awareness raising seminar on the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement. The seminar focus on educating youth and women cross-border traders along the Gambia and Senegalese Borders on agreement and non-tariff Barriers to Trade and its reporting mechanisms. its exposes participants on the African Union NBTs Platform and International Trade Centre –Trade Obstacles Alert Mechanism
The event brought together 60 youth and women living and residing within provincial Gambia doing business informally and in small quantity but also potential exporters and importers of good along the borders.
