About GYCC

The Gambia Youth Chamber of Commerce (GYCC) is the voice of young entrepreneurs in the Gambia. We are a Trade and Business Support organisation that mobilizes young Gambian and African entrepreneurs in the Gambia to improve their lives and give them a voice. We create market space by organizing National and regional exhibitions, Business trainings, Business Coaching programs and soft skills to get them out of their marginalized position and support them to become successful entrepreneurs.

GYCC currently working with five (5) regional chapters in every region in Gambia, supporting start-up entrepreneurs and providing them with BDS services and support programs to improve and enhance their businesses in rural areas. GYCC currently has a membership of about 700 registered business in Agribusiness, Tourism, Fashion and Textile, Handicraft and Tech firms and 60% of our members are young women between the ages of 21 to 30 years.

GYCC is key stakeholder to the Ministry of Trade of The Gambia, Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Agriculture of the Gambia. We are also an affiliate member of National Youth Council of Gambia under the Ministry of Youth and sports. GYCC is also working with 12 local and international Partners and amongst them is the International Trade Centre (ITC), The European Union in Gambia, The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Foundation, GIZ Ecowas Project, Instituto Marques de Valle (IMVF), United Nations Development Program through MoTIE, Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Start-up Incubator, The Gambia Investment and promotion Agency and many others
